Do you know how old this hoax is? The internet email postage "bill"?
Please...for all involved, check the urban legend sites on the web
for this type of drek before you pass it along to mailing lists.

That won't work. Aside from the 3.5mm plug (stem), the remote has a
number of other connectors on either side of the 3.5mm stem. They
all go into the side of the unit and make contact at the same time
(I'm assuming that this is the case...it seems to be so on every MD
unit I've seen).

You don't feel that a person who took the cost factor into account in
his own deliberation should not allow that same cost factor for
others?

There is some volume control attenuation, but I think it only raises
to line-level. It would explain why most subwoofers I've seen also
have their own volume control...you wouldn't want to blow the
subwoofer by running its signal through an amplifier.

You do realize, don't you, that before there was the PS2 (PlayStation

by IBM? You also realize, don't you, that before those computers,
keyboards used a large 5-pin DIN connector, and that since, computers

That wouldn't be a function of the CD Burner...it would be a function
of the software that's running the drive.
On that note, I believe the latest Real Jukebox can do it.

I've used my MD player on various airlines. While I haven't
specifically used it on Air Canada (haven't flown them in a couple of
years, now), it shouldn't be any different than a portable CD player,
and I've seen folks using them on AC flights.

The only time I have a problem with track marks is when I record
something with tracks that just flow into each other. In those
cases, I have to manually split the tracks.
However, on discs where the tracks do gap, on their own, my Sharp
MD-MT15 does the track marks just fine.

Hi, Matt...I'm assuming that at least one of the digital in's is
internal, ie on the card, not the backplane.
If so, do you have cables to go from the D/A port on a CD/DVD-ROM to
go to these inputs, or a source for them?
