We're trying to upgrade a French language wiki for educative purposes
from 1.13.0 to 1.15.1, and at the same time migrate it to from shared
hosting to a dedicated server running Debian.
Most things are working fine, except for a weird problem with images
with filenames with accented characters.
I want to prevent users from just posting links to external sites instead of
creating new pages. Once they create new pages they can add external links but
my pleas for people to add more information has been ignored. So I want to
install a regexp that like the spam blocker will not let them sub

I have some extensions that I wrote for a project that is moving forward.
The final task is internalization. For special page extensions I was able
to find documentation at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Special_pages
and http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Internationalization that

amsmath and greek work. chess and chem don't work because
the packages are not installed yet -- the error shown is
the tex log, and I presume they'll work once installed.
So, I'm trying a workaround.

I've been searching the web for an answer to allowing MS2007 files to be
uploaded into Mediawiki. When an upload is attempted, for say a docx file, and
is allowed via $wgFileExtensions in LocalSettings.php, the upload fails with

and I have already corrected partialy.
I had not written "$wgUseSiteCss = false;" in "Localsettings.php"
But now I have written "$wgUseSiteCss = true;" in it and it continues
not working.
