Hi meep users,
There are two signals (same polarized) propagation in the waveguide
simultaneously.
They have different frequency but one of the amplitude is higher than the
other one.
So, higher amplitude field is dominant in the png image.
How can I distinguish visualization of signals in png
Hi, zywang
you can use 0+1i for complex number i

Hi meep users,
I am trying to tilt my source.
my source is located in the dielectric waveguide medium
So when I set the k, should I use the refractive index of waveguide medium
in to the wave vector scale definition as the following:
(define-param kdir (vector3 1 -1))
(define k (vector3-scale
Dear meep users,
I read the units and nonlinearity in meep wiki pages but I am a bit confused.
I want to get delta_n=0.03.
Therefore, following parameters are used in the ctl file.(my lattice
constant a=1um)
n2=10E-6
and related kerr parameter is
chi(3)=7.053x10E-6
n=2.3 (linear index)
Hi everyone,
I want to get flux after the specific meep time later.
I used the following command in my ctl file. But I could not see any
difference between fluxes with and without (after-time TT..) command. I
got the same fluxes.
srcf=cw source frequency and start at the beginning, end time is
Thanks for your help

Hi meep users,
I have two sources in my structure.
One of them is Ez field, the other one is Hz field.
I want to get fluxes with add-flux function.
In wiki page, fields are synchronized automatically in flux-in-box and
field-energy-in-box routines. But I am using add-flux function to get
fluxes.
Hi meep user
I want to apply periodic square wave signal like following equation and

Hi
I asked our IT personel to install meep in to the sun grid system.
But he couldn't install meep. He sad Setup screen is freeze during the

Dear Dr. Steven,
You suggest to use a CW source at each frequency and wait for the system
to reach steady-state.
What is the mean of systems steady-state
How can I understand system is steady-state or not.
I try to get transmission curves of nonlinear wg.
I apply to cw input source at each
Hi meep users,
Is there any parameter like source's start time-end time for flux
measurement?
For example, two sources which have different start time are applied to
structure. I want to measure flux after the all sources beginning.

I want to get electric field intensity profile along the waveguide axis
(for example each point in x direction )
How can I do?
in meep reference, (get-field-point c pt) function is used for single point.
I need field intensity-position graphs.
Maybe, I should write script to get intensity at
miss out?

Hi meep users,
I am trying to obtain transmission spectrum in order to see band gap
