One of my favorite MBs was my 1970 250C. It was a
real sleeper, and would pull stumps if given the
chance. A fun car, without a doubt.

If it's a gasser then it is a 280

Thanks,
No doubt its overpriced. Its outside a shop in a ritzy town. I already noticed
a little rust. I expect they're shooting for the moon.
In fact I'm more interested in their plow truck, a CJ-5 with aftermarket (but

I've seen exactly zero reasons I should upgrade to Vista, its less stable than

I'd have rather seen them finish XP 64, I'd have bought that. For video editing

That narrows things down, although I think you ment one of those 220s to be a
240.
What kind of mileage could I expect from a gasser of that vintage? They're
beautiful cars, if I didn't think it would eat me out of the house I'd consider
a gasser.

Early/mid 70's, IIRC. Speaking of early 70's BMW's, I also like the styling
of the 2002's. A neighbor of mine had a '74, kind of a beater that ran
well, pretty straight with oxidized paint. He wouldn't sell it to me
Ah, those 2002's. A friend of mine had one in college, was a wonderful
car to drive. Pure agony to park, fast steering with no power boost,
she had to really work.
Got rear ended four times, for some reason -- her mother, her sister,
and her twice, last time totalled it, always when stopped
