Yep, you have no chain stretch. And it's actually not chain stretch, its chain wear. What happens is the pivots wear over time and the chain gradually gets longer longer. The slack gets taken up by the chain tensioner. Stretch a new chain on the garage floor then try compress it end to end and

Check the evaporator temp sensor -- if it's bad, it can cause the compressor to run when it should be off, and in certain circumstances (outside air temp under 90 F, for instance) cause the evaporator to freeze up. Could be a bad expansion valve too, but the evaporator temp sensor should
