Well then you have to deal with draining the battery if you then want to use the tool, maybe. Plus don't the LiOn battries get very picky about how they discharge/charge, might blow up or catch fire or something? Maybe a NiCad or NiMH would be better. But yeah, that would work if you want.

My drill is still NiCd. Due for an upgrade to LiOn soon. LiOn won't care about running a window motor, it can produce how ever much power you want pretty much to the limits of its controller/wiring/etc. The problem is that most tool batteries are greater than 12v, how is the window/seat/whatever
