True.
Here's the deal:
When I got the car, the only thing that didn't work on it was the parking
brake. You pulled on the release and it just slid right out of the dash.
Pressing the pedal down applies the parking brake, but it doesn't latch.
I removed the release handle and found that the

That could very well be the case, but without getting the whole assembly out or
at least being able to access it, I can't tell.
The release cable is buried in the pedal assembly somehow, and even requires a
special tool to remove and install it. There are two bolts that hold the whole
Having spent time in both, I'd say the W211 is a much better car than the
W210 in terms of quality of materials and general feel. I've logged a
large number of miles of W211s over the years and always enjoyed them.

I've heard that before on this list, but I use it on locks and everything else

I can identify with this. While I like my S430, it’s completely soulless

mean nothing, that makes it stand out among other cars.

If I were looking for a used MB diesel sedan, that is the most recent year /
model I would buy. Terrifically low fuel consumption, powerful, quiet,
reliable.
I don't think they are quite as reliable as a 123, which is a relatively simple
car, but for a modern car you can't do much better.
