i'd imagine that the CD might get slightly better fuel economy at speed
in part because it's not as tall and doesn't present as high a frontal
profile to the wind.
frankly, in our '85 300D, we rarely see much better than 20MPG, but

My '83 300SD will get that kind of fuel economy also. It got 30MPG at 60MPH
on a 300 mile drive to and from the Oregon coast with some in-town driving
as well. Things may improve once I adjust the valves, that is once I can
find the wrenches! It appears that I've lost 2 sets of them in the la
