The way I understand it, it's not all about hp. The extra displacement of the V8 should give the engine more grunt at higher road speeds. My guess is that at 70 plus mph the 6.9 will give the 3.0 V6 a run for it's money. Of course, I've driven neither car so I can't say based on experience.
