I use a branded (smart) thermostat by Lennox on the Florida house, which is kept at a constant 74F with AC because Mrs. Dan is “always hot”. When she’s out of the house I turn it up to 76F, which is more than comfortable for me. If we’re out of town I’ve got a program that lets it go up to 78F d

I used to have mine at 76 during the day, then 74 at 5pm, 72 at 10pm then back to 76 at 8. Even with it nearly 100 ac does not run that much during the day and it gets stuffy. Even sometimes at 74 it does not end up running that much to maintain the temp and it gets stuffy. Today I decided to se

We have the programmable T-stat set to 80 during the day, and 74 at night. When it's over about 95F out, I set the fan to constant - keeps the house comfortable as long as you don't wear a shirt. All the ceiling fans are on also. New truism: "Quality of life is inversely proportional to the amount

If the AC is running at some point in the day and humidity under control, I can sleep fine at 72. Weekdays, with time of use billing (they jack the rate up 50% from 2-7p weekdays, and I assume that means Independence Day too) I run it at 68 from 6-8am, which dehumidifies like crazy, then 72 unti
