Who was the official Marshall approved exhaust maker, Bosal?
The original muffler on the 560 SL was made by Gillet.
I know it was original because of the date code embossed
in it. It was replaced with Rusty's Eberspacher.

This weekend I replaced brakes on Saturday morning on my 97 volvo 960 185K.
Pulled the rear rotors and they had a large ridge (big enough to get really
close to the caliper). Clearly they were the never turned factory rotors

I haven't turned rotors for abou 15 years, I just buy new. My luck in the
past with turned rotors was they would warp much easier. Also, I found if
the hub had any rust, you have to clean it really well to get it to seat
properly and true. I'm a bit lazy too, I like working with new clean

I don't turn a rotor to remove an edge. Mount it on a drive wheel and
spin slowly while I use a 4 disc grinder to remove the edge.
That's what I do. Makes getting the calipers on and off
much easier!

How much for front rotors on a 1995 BMW 740IL? Mine are warped and cause
serious vibrations when applying the brakes.

I have been told that rotors from the dealer are always the best.
They somehow last longer than even the most expensive NAPA rotors.
Same with exhaust parts - they just seem to last noticeably longer if
the dealer parts are obtained. This from a guy that replaces a lot of
these parts for a

I paid dollars at the dealer 4 years ago. Those pieces were recently
