Mike, Levi, Dave, Marshall, Tom, Rich, Jeff, and Harry- Thank you all for your very good replies to my question about teflon tape. The fuel leak is at the fuel filter center bolt (hollow bolt) that holds the large fuel filter on. The little O ring on this bolt is causing the problem.

OK, yeah, I would definitely NOT use teflon on the bolt that threads into the fuel filter. That's just asking for something to get lodged somewhere it shouldn't and with the O-ring at the top, I don't think it would have any effect anyway. But you seem to already understand that. (: I guess

Probably not, but teflon tape will also probably not fix the leak. Leaking fittings require replacement, they are never tapered pipe fittings. Peter
