So how bad would that be to "fix"? It doesn't look that bad but I guess
if the body/frame is all buggered that's pretty much it. Seems like most
of the car and its bits would not have been affected, might be worth
buying it back if you could knock them down on the price of the hulk.

Yeah, unless there are some really unusual or desirable parts there, you’re
never going to get out out of it what you’ll have in it in time and effort
alone.
Keep squeezing the insurance company for a nice payoff and buy something
equally nice or better.
