sounds like its doing what its supposed to. When you turn the key off
it allows vacuum thru the key to the shutoff. When you turn the key on,
you want the vacuum to bleed off so it releases the shutoff and you can
start the engine.

Yes, try that. The lines are supposed to leak on one end (the IP)
when ON, and not when OFF (they are coupled together the

I had a ignition put on my 1980 300D and the steering lock now doesn't
work. and there doesn't seem to be any Vacuum, barely shuts the engine
off. I got a mighty vac tool and want to know how much vacuum the pump
should be putting out.

inches and when I rev the engine it goes to like 5 inches. recovers to
maybe 16 at best.. Now this is just sitting still. Is this what is

I am beginning to susspect the vacuum pump is there a way to test the brake
