On the SD the first instruction for this job says Disconnect the wiring

It might be different for the 190D.

ROFL. Thanks for some morning amusement. I'm sorry you had to endure
such pain to provide this.

My condolences; hope you stop hurting soon and have quick recovery.
BTW, in 1972, at the Navy Exchange (BX/PX) on GUAM, a Pachinko machine
(heavy, Japanese, vertical pin ball machine that makes lotsa flashing lights
and ringing bells) slipped out the bottom of its box onto both of my big
toes.

Curt. old son.
There was no evil intent on my part in giving you a potential
thumb-ectomy machine.
I thought that you were smarter than that!
Just be thankful that the mechanism didn't shear off you opposable thumb!
Each throb reminds you that it's still there.
Sorry for the pain and suffering,
Oh, I never claimed Purple Heart for war wounds, either. :)))

You mean the tool for cutting away parachute lines? I was issued one in
Pensacola Unfortunately, someone got the contract specs wrong in
manufacturing, so the switchblade was on the knife half rather than the
hook half of the tool. It came with a note saying that we were being issued

I don't think our flight suits had that pocket (I started flying in 1976).
But come to think of it, I think it did. And I could never figure out what
was supposed to go in there. But since USCG aviation is all helo (quite
untrue, but the common conception) I guess we had no need to be issued
for at least 35 years.
