So as long ago as the Venus of Willendorf was made (50k years?) there were
meteorite collectors... since probably the moldavite came in as a trade
good from where it was originally collected. Kinda gives you a feeling of
continuity.

I got a few small pieces of Glorieta from Steve when he first offered them
to the List. They are small and unremarkably brown, unless you look at
them carefully and can distinguish a few small olivine crystals, rather
like shrapnel. They are not very rounded, being rather angular.

I just got a nice thin slice of Putorano; unfortunately, the travails of
travel caused it to break in three before I got it! Has anyone else
noticed a tendency for their Putorano to crumble or break, and if so, what
are they doing about it (besides being VERY VERY gentle to their slices?)

Thank you for finding this for us -- for the benefit of all who don't have
access to this magazine at all. Too bad no one apparently thought to
collect and keep the aerolite that killed this fellow. Smoking
