If we restrict "re-do" to only loans that have been "reversed", then it
could mean big trouble for the MFI.
I have frequently seen MFI's missing to create loans on or before the
disbursement date.
If that happens, there would be no way to create such loans in Mifos.

at Fantsuam we used the reverso/redo a few times - e.g. we had set up a loan
with 3 months remaining but it should have been 4 months or 2 months etc
(once it was just because the loan had not been approved before the meeting
date so it rolled over to the next month) so we reversed it and set

Thanks for your comments. Its clear from what you have said that
'create back dated loan' is a very useful feature and that also it
might be useful for mifos to provide a better 'migration' approach
(historical products, historical loans, historical savings etc)
