It might help my analysis if you could post the first five records
from your file. Include every character from the first character up
until the fifth "sba". ("sba" is the end-of-record marker).
I've discovered a few things about the .mem file:
1) I can substitute the file header f

I would suggest testing with completely tabula rasa;
-uninstall Mnemosyne
-deleting .mnemosyne (actually renaming it, to keep the data)
-do a complete search on your file
Safe mode did not work, I changed the error in the file location

Uninstall should not touch your .mnemosyne directory, only the program
directory. (Doesn't hurt to have backups, though).

I you still have problems, make sure you are running the latest version, and
that no directories are write protect
Can close and open fine now since deleting all the duplicates I
noticed, however Mnemosyne still is not creating new back ups. I'm not
really sure what to do at this point.

Thats what im trying with limited sucess. I have goten a different
error message, and froze mnemosyne but no error message through two
different deletes. If i understood this pickling system I might be
able to delete the correct amount of type but ill just keep trying. Do

Well, if Mnemosyne says it's corrupt, then I'm afraid not...
You can always open it in editor to see what it looks like, but it's not a
format for easy tinkering.
