hello. i finally found some of the music that i've been searching for.
bought the promise ring's 30 degrees everywhere. my initial listen
made me think of braid's frame canvas...but when i listened to
it this morning before work i heard more of their own style.
also bought red stars theory

know who she is. I actually wished she was standing near me, she'd really annoy the
little teenie girls, but no, she got to you instead.
What I don't get is why you say my post is bitter and then

reserved when viewing a band
that is not played on MTV regularly.
I hope that by "cool and reserved" you do not mean
"standing perfectly still and not reacting to the
ferocity with which the band is tearing out the
collective asses of the

i have a pretty crisp recording of the bassless Great American
show. i couldn't fit the last song and the two encores onto the
minidisc..so i'd be happy to trade a tape of this set (64 minutes)
for Fuck shows or things that glitter and/or are sparkly.

i like what the horatio guy said about keeping your mind open-not to label
things, but the stuff we talk about on the list is not the only music i
listen to, or the only shows i go to. i thought he might like to hear about
this great open-minded friend i've got, i know the labels are bad, but
HAHA.
yup, watch out. :)
LAL is cool for a rock band. Zeke the drummer kicks ass. But they are just
a rock band, nothing to incredibly innovative.
Definitely nothing like lync.

hahah remember that time that girl on this list bitched me out for
pogo-ing?
what a dumb "cunt" if you dont mind me using that word.. apparently she
felt it unbecoming for anyone to "pogo" at a modest mouse show. plus she
had no reservations calling me a "fat fuck" about 7 times. boy we sure
did
i have the "clear sky = blue dye" tape... LAL's stuff when it was just
sam jayne doin his own thing. and it is so fuckin good. maybe ill get
around to tossing it up as a demo on the indieboots site or something.
its so much better than newer LAL

So, I haven't heard too many things about the Bottom of the Hill Show
(which I attended, whooha!) and don't worry. I won't bother you with a
long and rambling post, but seriously kids. They burnt the house down.
This was my first (gasp!) time seeing MM, and I wasn't disappointed at
all. I
isaac refers to the album as the fruit its self if that means anything to you
normally , i agree with every pearl of wisdom that falls from the mouth of
mr. sweetser, as far as i can tell he's pretty sussed to all that is indie
and MM related... i also dont think i know what he is referring to regarding
when he says he was called a bad name 7 times...but i do remember him
ahhh yes the illustrious "c" word.
i dont believe in censorship and therefore i believe in colorful
language. the scottish and british use this word fluently to mean
something other than what it really is. although i guess "what it really
is" is all dependant on connotation rather than
