Hi all!
I recently failed at naming my distribution, but I'll add to my defence it is
the hardest problem in CS. :-)
At some point, I thought Web::Solid::Test::Basic was a good name for a
module, and I thought that if I added stuff, it would be separate
distributions. It turned out to not be
Hi Chris,
I’m one of the PAUSE admins, and I’m emailing you about a CPAN module naming
conflict.
Your Smil distribution contains a module called “QT”, which is the file
lib/SMIL/QT.pm, so it almost looks like you meant to call the module SMIL::QT?
The conflict comes because German Garand

If Win32API does not exist, I will definitely choose
Win32::MIDI::API. (Actually I chose it when I did not know the
existence of Win32API hierarchy.)

Brian,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I'll rename the name of my module.
brian you can certainly rename the module, but how about Win32::MIDI?
Win32::MIDI is already used. See 'rationale' included in my previous
mail, for more details.

Dear [EMAIL PROTECTED] list,
If this is not proper destination, please advice me where should I
post this.
Last week I put Win32::MIDI::API module on CPAN. After that I knew
there was Win32API top hierarchy. I think Win32API::MIDI is better
name for my Module than Win32::MIDI::API.

Those of you who are involved with mod_perl probably know that I've been
working on developing a documentation framework for perl.apache.org,
which I've called DocSet, since it

Hello
I have put module Cmenu on CPAN under the User Interfaces category. This is
OK but it might be better listed under Curses in the same category. I am not
sure how I should go about renaming Cmenu to Curses::Cmenu
The module adds no functionality to Curses directly but it does require
[Quoting Jonathan Stowe, on March 31 2001, 11:50, in "Renaming Net::SNMP::"]
I'd like to kick off a discussion of what the above module should be
renamed to :)
I'd suggest to take this discussion to comp.lang.perl.modules.

Ok, I'll perform the renaming this WE.
To Andreas, the PAUSE master: PAUSE tells me that renaming does
not work. Can you please rename the Devel::Datum entry into

Hi!
I'd like to rename
NetServer::ProcessTop
to
NetServer::Portal
to reflect greater generality. I plan to make the 'top' screen only one
of many different screens and to allow for the addition of new screens
by other extensions.

contemplating renaming the module to PGP::GnuPG::MessageProcessor, but
I'm unsure if this is wise. The old name ("GPG" instead of "GnuPG")
reflects the name of the binary that GnuPG uses, but GnuPG is not really
called "GPG"; rather, it is referred to as "GnuPG".
