Hello, I am shamelessly hawking my new book Film Posters of the Third Reich. I
believe I have contacted, at least once, all of the most visible internet film
poster dealers, but if not please contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I can
send details and dealer terms if you may interested. For indiv
First, let me start off by saying that I am not interested in the
price of Horror and Science Fiction. As it turns out, I can send my
daughter to the University of Colorado for 4 years for about $50,000
and would rather do that than own a great horror one sheet (except for

I guess this is supposed to be my cue to enter the conversation. So...

I thought the horror/sci-fi did pretty well. Makes me wish I collected in

Certainly looks like an untrimmed (or proof printing - see colour bars) of the

No, the pressbooks for Bride of Frankenstein and
Werewolf of London have gone for higher ~ and that's
primarily because they look like slightly smaller
inserts. Also, I sold a Mark of the Vampire presbook
several years ago for over $7,000.

No it is not even close to a record. For certain a King Kong pressbook has
sold for twice that amount and Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein have
sold for over that amount as well.
The Metropolis really seems like a bargain at the price it brought.

I SAID there "were around a dozen unbelievable knock-your-socks-off high

I've seen a poster that sounds identical to that one (your pics didn't come

As a dealer, I have many times wished that there were multiple

kind of sustained interest that horror/sci-fi collectors have. But
