Hi all! I'd like to read a couple of books on the Common Core. I'm a reading

Hi all! I know that there are a lot of great non-fiction magazines out there

I echo Renee's sentiments. Just in my own family for example - I have three
girls. The first one I figured out early on that we only needed to quickly
review spelling words once just to ease my mind. The other two - we studied
each week, got 100 and couldn't spell for beans. I've always

I don't disagree about the comments against the fluency interventions that I
asked about. But, the bottom line is I don't control what goes on in the

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has had experience with both Quick Reads and

How is Walk to Read different from the tracking we have all worked so hard to

Morning, I have a student who has a high average IQ. He tests at Z in the
a-z assessment, but his fluency (DIBELS) is at 77. In January the fourth
grade goal was 105, so he is significantly below that expectation. He has
received fluency support with Quick Reads (similar to REad Naturally

Ages ago there was a lot of research backing up listening to reading while

Morning all! While we're on the subject of poetry, has anybody compiled poems

Question Cathy, I love the way you talk about grouping kids, but my question

I guess whether their strategies are working are the case in point. One
