Greetings,
I had two white-winged crossbills, a female and male at eye level, seven common
redpolls and one female pine grosbeak on the Woodtick Trail, Cass County
between Hackensack and Longville. Deanne EndrizziBurnsville, Dakota

Birded 6pm - 8:30pm. No migrants seen at main trailhead and main loop trail.
Most notable blue-winged warbler and eastern towhee near parking area next to
dog park. Many wood thrushes singing. Hopefully, we'll see more waves of
migrants, considering there are still reports of migrants in S MN.
Looked out my window to see two darned house sparrows on my suet and a closer
look revealed two Eurasian Tree Sparrows. I'll post if I see them tomorrow.

There is a bit of open water towards the east side of Normandale Lake and a
flock of gulls has gathered. There is an adult lesser black-backed gull along
with herring and ring-billed gulls. A quick glimpse of a light wing-tipped gull
was also seen briefly, but not long enough to identify.
I came home from work and looked out at my feeder area and saw a small sparrow

so I grabbed my binoculars and discovered it was a field sparrow. I got a few

My husband and I went to the spot about 12:30pm and there was no sign of the
snowy owl. It is definitely habitat where you could probably see a snowy, but
it's also excellent habitat for short-eared owls.
I did see a FOY flock of common redpolls and a bald eagle perched across the
