[mou-net] Lesser Black-backed Gull on Normandale Lake, Bloomington

There is a bit of open water towards the east side of Normandale Lake and a flock of gulls has gathered. There is an adult lesser black-backed gull along with herring and ring-billed gulls. A quick glimpse of a light wing-tipped gull was also seen briefly, but not long enough to identify.

A rufous hummingbird was banded on November 14, 2004, in Berrien Co. Michigan. This is not as far north as our Minnesota stray, but out of range. As for the idea of relocating a bird to warmer climates, it is a mute point. This was attempted in the past, which had failed. In order to
