welcome the visitors, and being unable to get back to that page, which
can contain other information as well, can be very annoying.

Anyway, I think it should be an option. The reason why I discovered it
was because I was editing my own home page which has a splash screen. It
doesn't contain any valid info, but it would be nice for a developer to
be able to get back to the page anyway.
