I am watching this discussion with quite some interest since I thought

MSMQ is a very immature Messaging System compared with MQ, the functionality
and operation does not get close to MQ.

Two
important questions:
1.
Does the vendor already have MSMQ infrastructure?
2.
Does the vendor require local queuing?
If
neither is true, you can easilydemonstrate howWMQ client is
cheaper
cynical, but true

MSMQ is a microsoft only product - so will not run on anything but.
MSMQ needs to use the MSMQ Bridge product to interface to MQSeries (the bridge is part
of Host Integration Server suite)
MSMQ is very complex to setup (maybe not to an MSCE)

There
is a vendor we are planning to do business with and they are an all M$ shop. The
question was posed to us so now we have to deal with it.

The MSMQ Bridge cannot be used in an Active/ Active server
, and not before then. So they could do it if they could support
it.
Guess
what they did
