The above error means that you have not set up privileges so that your
user can connect from the computer on which mysqlgui runs.

Your two problems are easily explained. You do not have edfile.o,
because you have not built fl_editor.
Second, 2.95.3 has some serious problems with STL libraries, that is
why I suggest you downgrade to 2.95.2.

message regarding libsqlplus.so.1 when I tried to run mysqlgui and I fixed
it using the same command line you told me but of course replacing
libsqlplus.so.1 for libsqlplus.so

I'm using Redhat 7.2 and have tried it with the semi-static and the static

I was finally able to compile version 1.7.4 for
Solaris 2.6 but during startup if I enter a password
it coredumps. Do you have 1.7.4 compiled for solaris 2.6?

I like the look of the "mysqlgui" but I cannot get it to connect to
