Hi,
I have two servers Mysql 5.5 with master to master replication.
The second server failed and I needed to remove it to repair the operating
system.
After this incident the application users have been notice that the
application response have been very slow.
Both servers have RAID 1 (mirroring)

Thank you for the response...
My question now is, will I be able to set the innodb buffer pool size for
the slave server to be the same as the master server?
If so, can I only restart the slave server and keep the master server
running in order to cancel out the requirement for downtime?

However, this change is only done on the master server and not on
the slave server.
I am not sure how the buffer pools are handled in replication
though, but would this not perhaps need to be set on the slave server as
well.
My thinking around this is that the error occurred specifically

Hi Vikram,
So as my understanding you need to have a master slave setup in a single
machine(FEDORA 11).
1. Make the already running mysql instance as Master
2. Install a new mysql in the same machine in different port which will be
your slave
3. Replicate
4.You can also add more slave in same mac
Dear Experts,
I would like to configure the slave for my main server. My server is running in
the FEDORA 11.
I would like to make another mirror of the DB in the same server/ The copy of
the DB can be kept at win server / another Fedora server.
Can you suggest how to do the above?
Thank you

In mysql 4, can one replicate a database to another server but have the DB
name on the slave server be different?
Master : dbname1
Slave: dbname1
AND
Slave : dbname2 (but contains data from db2name1)
A project manager is asking for this.. don't blame the guy asking :-)

You can try circular replication between server. So each server will act
as both Master and Slave.

Hi Shanmugam,
Your question quite confusing.
Do you mean to say, if any changes happen to slave it should get refeleted
in the master, if yes, then u can setup two masters which are slave to each

I have created two databases in Master Server and it gets replicated to

be sync with the Master server. My requirement is when ever developer do

Is there a way to check that data on slave server is the same as data on

Thanks

In a replicated environment, are slave servers "read only" or can a user

Hello.
Is there an option for the slave server to NOT stop when an error
inducing query is run on the master?
For instance, if someone tries in insert a duplicate entry, and the
master shows the error, but updates the binlog, how can I keep the slave
from seeing the same error, and
d max_allowed_packet - increase max_allowed_packet on master
(read_errno 0,server_errno=65535)
On the master, max packet is set to 8M.I have one slave server working
correctly and the other isn't.

Well, if it is read only, it won't be able to update from the master.
