I wrote an jdbc application and inserted strings data into the
database. I can correctly selected them back. However, I can not visually
see the data stored in the data through the MySQLCC GUI. Is there a way to
explicitly specify the character set for MySQLCC? Any idea?

MySQL puts an automatic limit of 1000 on all select queries. Try adding
"LIMIT 10", and perhaps then it will take a good long time like
you want.

mysqlcc has a limit of 1000 on all queries I run. I can understand this for
SELECT queries, but it makes no sense for INSERT... SELECT queries.

In MySQL Control Center 0.9.10 you cannot add an hotkey for
"cell edit" (double click on cell to edit it's content). I think that
adding a key for this is very important so the user will not need the
mouse to edit cells.

to a linux server running the mysql server and it's working ok to the point
where I try to enter data into any cell of my tables other than one
