section. I just get "Tomorrow expect a high of ..." (2 line breaks)

Got it working. I was trying to use the fedora kernel src rpm to
compile against, but I went ahead and recompiled my own kernel, and
then compiled lirc and modules against that.

the setup app so I'm trying to export the display to my windows box
upstairs running cygwin (haven't made the frontend box yet). Problem

Well, personally I would love to have my HD Tivo integrate with Myth.
That would give me 2 HD OTA and 2 HD Sat tuners able to do direct hard
drive writes. If the TV recordings showed up directly in my MythTv

but still not finding the linux version of mpeg2cut (needed
by nuvexport mpeg -> mpeg).
I keep finding rar versions (1.15 to be exact), but no luck with
a version that runs under linux, only windows.

I went from 9 to FC3 and it was the easiest thing I have done.. I screwed up
the lircd stuff put the conf in the wrong dir and it would not work under
mythtv but did with irw. all fixed

The situation: Mythbox running 0.16 on top of FC2, Shuttle SN41G2,
NVidia S-Video output, Hauppauge PVR-250, generic universal remote

functionality I test
When you run a 'make install' it copies the .ko files (kernel modules)
to /lib/modules/`uname -r`/extra/
Just remove the files from there. If you re-run make install it will
overwrite the files there anyway, so I wouldn't bother.

permission denied on card 0 when I run as mythttv user. If I run as

Per Jonsson added support for the Hauppauge PVR150 in this particular version.

I have a big problem with the audio on my mythtv config.
Of some reason I sometimes looses all audio when I record new shows using my
PVR-250 card using the ivtv drivers for the 2.4 kernel.
The audio simply isn't recorded in the video. I thought this might be caused
by the other videocard
I've reverted back to using GMT - all the times being displayed are one hour
early, but everything seems to work - i.e. recordings kick off when they're
supposed to.
Would be nice to be able to get a 'proper' fix for this.

Ok, I ran irrecord -d /dev/lircm test-lircd.conf and it looked like
it connected, but after 10 seconds says:
irrecord: no data for 10 secs, aborting
irrecord: gap not found, can't continue
I guess what I'm looking for is some sort of troubleshooting steps
that will tell me if the hardware is bei

Thanks for all the great advice.
I talked to my next dorr neighbor who also has Cox digital service
with HD and they gave him a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD which includes
USB and two firewire ports.
Hopefully this will be the same unit I get and the firewire will work

Wow, that sucks, I thought it was fully working for DTV. Well maybe me
and Don can start working on a DTV PPV script as well.
I will start looking into what needs to be done.

recording/watching: American Idol, the smurfs (!?!?!)... i'm pretty
