There is a naming issue in the latest mythtv-suite package, whereby the package is referencing mythplugin and not mythplugins (the actual package name). It should be possible to update mythtv by using apt-get with the main 18.1 package names instead, as all dependencies should still be taken

Well, I got it to work, albeit with a 5 pound sledge. I discovered by deleting /dev/fd0 mythfrontend would go ahead and start. However, on reboot, /dev/fd0 reappears. So, I added rm /dev/fd0 to my startup script. It's not pretty, but its working. I am very surprised nobody else seems to have
