using 480x480 capture resolution. This does not allow for live TV
watching, but does allow for encoding video and then watching it later.

Don’t know if this will help but
when I had 512MB in my system (XP 2400, Shuttle SK41G, Geforce FX5200) I would
get some stuttering when the feed first started, leaving Myth about 5-6 seconds
behind live TV.
After swapping out the memory and
replacing it with 1GB (2x512) I don’t get any

Ah, the wise have descended from on high and enlightened the ignorant

If you're not intending to use the composite input this would explain
why you are getting nothing but static. Check that your input method
is set correctly and let me kn

by adoption rate do you mean the number of people that subscribed to
the LxM suite?

the pauses were less on the 1Ghz, so the system was marginally faster, but
still paused. I cant imagine what would happen if I tried to record
something!

A couple of questions for the scheduler wizards:
1) There is an option for Auto-expire that allows auto-expired recordings to be
scheduled again for re-recording. Do recordings deleted because the count

wow, not sure whether this e-mail is flame-bait or what. the question
i have for you is why you would try to fix what you perceive to be a
software problem with hardware. you also left a few crucial details

What is the framrate of your captured videos?
Is this HD?
Are you using xvmc?
How much RAM do you have?
What chipset is your motherboard using?
What resolution are you outputing?
I'm sure others will have more questions... but I'm sure those are
some things people will need to know before they can
We just have to wait until the new glibc 2.3.5 officially gets into
debian64/ubuntu. It took ages until I've found out the reason for the
hanging frontend.
We just have to live with the pthread patch or hope that this bug gets
fixed soon:
