I have a weird problem when i'm watching recordings on my combined
frontend/backend. If I'm watching tv on or even a recording from my
pvr-500 or 350 while its trying to record a program on the HD-3000 via
QAM.. I get a lot of artifacts in the recording.

Answering my own question.I think I fixed it last night by going back to stable running 'apt-get
update' then 'apt-get install e2fsprogs', it updated e2fsprogs and an
e2fsprogs lib which was a welcome sign and what the problem appeared to

The main reason I want to reduce CPU usage at this point is that I'm
playing back 720p HD using libmpeg2 and the CPU is bouncing between
around 80% and 93%+, with the result that I'm getting stutter. I'm
looking for anything that I can do to reduce the CPU load. I'm
running a 2.8GHz

The past two weeks I've tried to burn one of my (transcoded) recordings to dvd using mythburn.
The problems started after i edited and transcoded the recording.
Non transcoded recording don't give any problems when using MythBurn.
I think the problem is that MythBurn can't handle
