Thanks to all for the replies, I appreciate the offers of help.
I was thinking of trying to port Centreon to run against Oracle
instead of MySQL. I took a quick skim over the source and it looks
like a lot of the database calls are going through PEAR and are fairly
generic, so I'm hoping that it w

I knew I should have tested it...
I assumed check_swap was giving the swap utilization but it gives the free
space left. So I had to make some changes to reverse the situation and print
the space the swap actually uses.

Depends what you want to monitor about them. If you simply want to find
out if they are up and running, check_ping should work very well. You
can also use SNMP, WMI and other mechanisms that allow a degree of
agentless monitoring.

I think it is not possible with nagios. you need to install nagios-plugins
or nrpe on the remote clients end.

Hi,
I have installed nagios on one of the system running redhat. Our network

Please let me know if we can monitor the server (Including windows)

Is there any variable where I can configure each how long are sent the

On the other hand, I would like also to know if it is possible to define

I receive more than 10 e-mails daily from nagios about the backup status.
I want to change those 10 e-mails to only one, updating me the status of
backup (either failed or successful etc).
Shall i change some macro or command or what?
i can not understand what to do.
