Ahh I see. I thought I had read differently. I'll just have to continue to
decode the integers in my handlers.
Thanks.

I appreciate your attention on this.
a) the output into snmpd.conf is from net-snmp-config, it looks the same
as it did for 5.2.3. net-snmp-config reports v5.2.4
b) I'll try your suggestions but I do not link in the UCD mibs, I posted
the net-snmp-config output to Thomas, here it is

Thanks very much for the answers.

Sigh... Read the problem too quickly.
no.
Please submit a patch to make snmpd.conf parsing (snmp.conf actually)
handle logging options. Thanks!

So, per RFC, can I summarize:
For SNMPv1, if the community string is incorrect, the agent should send
an authenticationFailure Trap.
For SNMPv2c, if the community string is incorrect, the agent should send
an authenticationFailure Trap.
For SNMPv3, if the auth/priv passphrases are incorrect or if

Two basic possibilities spring to mind:
a) There's a typo or similar in the snmpd.conf file
b) There's som

Dave,
The creatuser was just a typo here
/var/net-snmp/snmpd.log contains the line: createUser SHAAESUser SHA

/usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf contains the line: rwuser SHAAESUser
I also include mibII/vacm_conf,mibII/vacm_context,mibII/vacm_vars in the

Close.
The agent only needs MIB files if you are going to be referring to
MIB objects by name in the snmpd.conf file.
The DisMan support does not inherently require MIB files,

Hi,
I have a table which has been defined & created in the following way.
Table initialization code snippet is as given below
table_set = netsnmp_create_table_data_set("myStatsTable");
table_set->allow_creation = 1;
netsnmp_table_set_add_indexes(table_set, ASN_INTEGER, 0);

That fixed up the vacm token errors - Thanks.
The second part of this problem relates to the USM user creation. My
users were all erased upon running 5.2.4 the first time.
I ran net-snmp-config --create-snmpv3-user -A SHA -a password -X AES -x
password SHAAESUser.
That put the proper line in /v
