Hola. Is there anybody out there using drakbackup? I want to backup to my
standard SCSI CD writer (Matsushita 7502), but I don't know how to. I only
can backup to HD.

Yes, under MDK 8.2 it's rock solid, at least here.
I guess you would have to update/recompile 8.1 in order to use it?
Oooops! Yes, you need 8.2. Install 8.2! It's a lot better. (After 2 years,
my UMAX Astra 2000p is flying with MDK.)

I need some help here. After upgrading the kernel to 2.4.18-5mdk, my UMAX
Astra 2000p don't work at all. I only get the following message:

To those of us that love xcdroast (0.98 alpha 8), and can't run it under LM
8.0: at www.xcdroast.org there is a work around: 1. just type: chmod -s
/usr/bin/xcdrgtk and 2. install cdrecord 1.9. That's all. For me, works fine.
