Te necesita hacer:
append="mem=128"
en el fichero /etc/lilo.conf
entonces su root y hacer
lilo
y restart

append="mem=96M"
use appropriate number
then run /sbin/lilo

Also, you can try
linux mem=256m at the lilo prompt, just to make sure
you don't mess anything up.
after you edit lilo.conf, run: lilo -v and reboot.

Nope. The "append" line in LILO is what you need if your
machine is reporting the incorrect amount of ram.
Otherwise, you don't need to do anything. :-)

Add the following line to the global options section of your /etc/lilo.conf
append = "mem=128M"
