Hello,
I am and user of Mandrake 7.1 and now I would like to improve the video
card.
A lot of people have said me that the ATI RAGE FURY PRO (32 Mb) is a very
good video card on windows environment, but I don't know if It works OK
under Linux.
If you have any experience about this video card pleas
Actually, glide is quite well supported in modern
games. Deus Ex plays superbly in glide as do
half-life, unreal tournament, freespace2, Quake3 and a
host of other games. It seems that game makers are
simply not making a big deal about having glide
support. Glide looks better too but you have t
Goto www.lokigames.com ... I'm sure they'll have some help for setting up 3d

It hasn't recieved any native support in quite a while (maybe 2 years?!) with
the exception of Descent 3. At any rate, your problem isn't glide.
umm. libglide2x.so is a Glide library for a voodoo2
card. You can't use Glide because you don't have a
3dfx based card. In order to use 3D hardware

install xfree86 4.01. Read the supported hardware
list first though because the Maxx might not

I've attempted to install a couple of games (Quake & bfris) and both
tell me they need libglide2x.so. Is this related to my video card? (ATI
Rage Fury Maxx) and if so where can I get this file? I'm very new to
Linux so if more info is needed please let me know.
Thanks in advance

Well, this is like saying that the TNT-2 is a derivative of the TNT chip.
The system actually recognized the V770 as a TNT board, but the SVGA server
in 3.3.3 does not work with TNT2 boards.
This is why I am suggesting this may be the root of the o

It seems as if RH6.0 supports more top end graphic cards(
I was wondering if anyone has successfully configured the Rage Fury card for
