Roger what this means is that you're not connected. This is evidenced by
the fact that your ethernet card isn't referenced in the output. If it
were operating you would see it referenced as "eth0".

or go into DrakConf and do a network config you might have to pick out your
module try 3com 59x or
get out of X and as root type:
netconf
this should take you to the text mode of network configuration.
you'll have to enter everything in manually, but this should work.
