Office 97 sucks
Try to download of the www.sun.com/staroffice, the Star Office 5.2, is same a
office 97, but out of bugs. And this suite, can open files of Microsoft Office
and other office suites.
i hope that, this resolve
i could be wrong (yea right *haha*) but i think you have to install Office on a
windoze drive, under windoze. WINE simply lets you run a Win program under Linux.
but serious... i think that's it, but i really could be wrong

Find a file called wine.conf i think its on /etc/
edit it so that it ponts to the correct locations of your drive ie c:\path/to/your/windose/partition
or floppy->/mnt/floppy ... its the file that tells wine where your drives
are you can also make a copy of that file and rename it to .winerc and p
I highly highly doubt you will get that to install, ever, without MS making a
special version of their code just like Corel did when they made their Windows
version of WP Suite run on Linux.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
