I haven't been following this thread and don't know if you've tried it, but
(no offense to the fine and talented ppl at mdksoft), in this one particular
instance you might be better off with the newest version from the roaring
penguins site. I couldn't get mdk vs. to work, but the one

Finally got it going. Had to change pci slots. Started linux, and it
assigned my card a proper hwaddress. Tried adsl-start, and worked like a
charm. Still seems a bit flaky (i rebooted, and when i came back into linux
my hwaddress was back to 0s.. had to reseat my card to get it
Well, I hope you have a winbox to use that D-Link in. It is one of our
bad
list. It appears to work and detects well but never actually transmits.

Yeah, i've tried installing 3.0 off of cd too, and that wasn't working
either (same thing). I'll check to make sure that the conf file you
mentioned is empty when i get home tonight.

./go is the install command for the rp-pppoe software, but after
re-installing linux i realized that i don't even need to install it off of
cd (as it's already included).. therefore, no more need for ./go
Have assigned my nic all the info below, have run adsl-setup, still no go.
