Thanks for the offer but I want to do the fixing etc to save money
and you're right - other expenses would make it prohibitive to
deliver. Someone with a truck or trailer, lots of time and nothing
else to do is who I'm looking for - ANYONE

Hi,
Has anyone had any experience in putting a pair of 35 watt driving
lights on a 1983 450 Nighthawk? I would like to have more light for
night driving, but cannot find any info on if the charging system can
handle the extra drain on the system. Any assistance would be
appreciated.

A quick google search located the following table of dimensions of
common washer sizes.

Washers are generally pretty cheap, it wouldn't cost too much to buy
an assortment and try them until you find one that fits.

On 6/22/10,
The 84 Nighthawk S that I recently purchased has been an absolute
blast but now the shift indicator is not working right. When I got the
bike the neutral indicator light was sporatic. I could live with that.
Now the gear indicator is either not showing anythig or it will always
show 5th no matter
I had that same problem on my 650. The gear selector switch was old and full
of dirt and grease. I cleaned it out and it worked fine after that. I took
pictures if you wanna see them. http://munz.kicks-ass.net/nighthawk/?p=125

Hello All,
Well mustering the best in engineering (you might question
that after what I'm about to describe) I mustered up a temporary
solution to my lack of gauge lights.
Went to the hardware store - picked up a pair of LED
flashlights ($2.50 /each) and used plastic wire ties
You could try ziptie-ing it to your helmet.
