My 450's evaporative control system was removed by the previous owner and the bike runs fine. If you are re-using your old cap make sure it is vented. The cap on the california models is supposed to seal tight and the tank is vented through the evap system. On Apr 22, 8:33 am, solarDog wrote: >

I put my new spitfires on this last weekend, and they're great. Of course anything would have been an improvement over my old worn out tires. I'm also trying out the dynabeads. So far they're working out well. I actually rode the bike around for about 2 days with no balancing before the beads arri

I'm in the market for new tires too. I'm leaning towards the Bridgestone S11 Spitfire or the BT-45 Battlax. Anyone tried either of these? Joe On Mar 18, 8:36 am, stanley/ Randolph wrote: > When the tires wore out on my 250 I replaced them with Kendas, twice.  They > hold the road well, don't

I think you'd find there is not enough room to mount both, as well as the fact that the stock speedometer would be disconnected to run the new one. My speedometer had died so I had no qualms about removing the stock equipment. On Mar 19, 7:17 am, Javier Garcia wrote: > It is possible to have bot

Dave, I will post some pics soon, probably on the weekend. The only part I needed from electrosport was the speed sensor. The magnetic bolts they offer were not the correct size for my rotor. Here is a link to the speed sensor I used -> http://www.electrosport.com/products/product-detail-2261.ph

Hi All, A few months ago I wrote in about a occasional stalling problem which turned about to be a venting issue for the gas tank. Much discussion ensued regarding swollen gaskets and modern gas formulation. Well this weekend I found the real source of my trouble. As reported previously it was in

Hi Kyle, I've put a new speedo/tach unit on my '86 450 since my old speedo blew up. This is the unit I have http://www.electrosport.com/street/speedometers-series-3950.php It takes a little work, but now does the job beautifully. Joe On Mar 12, 6:00 am, "Creative Residential Designs" wrote:
