Yes the CBR uses a 17 " wheel, that is why it is such a pain to put an air
Chuck to it.

Size matters when it comes to contact. The specs are rotor or contact surface
area with the piston?

The 90's CB750 Nighthawk has the largest rotor I have seen. It is 320mm,
for comparison the CBR 929,954, and 1000RR use dual 310mm rotors, and just
about everything else uses a 297mm.

550 has one disk.
Always kinda wished it had two, but it is only almost-heavy-enough for two.
It brakes just fine with the one.

+1 if you want to lock up the rear just adjust the brake peddle travel.
That drum brake has more than enough power to lock the tire at will. I
adjusted mine to have a ton of lever travel to prevent me from
inadvertently locking the brake while I was learning to ride. If your front

You and I have DOHC Nighthawks, the original version from 1969 - 1978 only
had one camshaft. The concept bike has two cams but what I meant is that it
looks like the original CB750.
