I crashed 1996 750 last summer at about 35 miles an hour. It smacked
very hard on the right side. Bent the handle bars, front brake lever,
foot pegs, rear brake lever, you get the picture. I have had to
replace a lot of cosmetic stuff but that was 10,000 miles ago. Bike

Hi...I did the the exact same thing while practicing for the IL DMV
test, brake pedal was bent and left a little kinick on the clutch
cover. My bike has been fine.

My buddy built a dirt bike around a nighthawk 750 engine and I have seen it
take beatings and keep ticking. Our engines are tough as nails. It is rare
that you would see any mechanical damage from dropping the bike... usually
just cosmetic. If it is running and handling fine then I wouldn't worry
