If that fuse strip is blown I'd replace it with an inline fuse and some ring
terminals. That way if it blows again you can get a replacement fuse anywhere.

Under the plastic flap should be the fuse strip. The signal wires should be in
the plug. Here is a picture of one on an 85.

junk too, so I have to get one made, make one myself or break down and order

It's been a month since I had the Nighthawk out so I figured I'd take her to
work. It was a little chilly this morning so I figured it would be tough being
her going. After about 30 seconds of cranking the sta
Maybe not bad yet! This sounds like the battery needs to charge. When the bikes
sit at idle, the alternator isn't charging, it is running off the battery. So
when you had it warming up, it was draining the battery. Put a charger on it or
drive it around for a while and you should be better.
