The way that I solved that problem at a college here was to have all the computers in a lab named with a prefix for each lab.  Then at logon I check the prefix of the machine and use a Select Case to install and set the default printer correctly.  If you need more help contact me off list.

I may have missed this, but you mentioned re-adding the computer to the domain several times. Do you delete the account first from Server Manager? Also how many domain controllers? Any across WAN links? How long are you waiting? If multiple DC's have you forced a Synchronization? Chris Bodnar

I have seen this before. The cause was that people had staff names in their contact folder and they had outlook setup to check contacts first. When they setup a meeting and input a name, OL would grab the person from the contacts folder. Thus making it impossible to find their schedule info -
