By
updating virus list, re-scanning & quarantiing the infected files on that
exchange server, and then re-applying the NAV sw ontop, I was able to initiate
the NAV service(s) and all is well again! The NAV Alerts is identifying
viruses at
:51 PM

Have you looked in task manager to
see if the NAV processes are running ? If they are kill them (end task),
and then start the service.. That should give you a clean start up...
?
