I just want to let birders know in my last message, I did not at all harass the phalarope by approaching it. I should have indicated that the bird approached me!  The bird seemed very tame and walked right up to within five feet of me.  So any birders that feel I stressed the bird in any way,

The Red-necked Phalarope was still present when I left at 12:30pm.  He was very approachable allowing me to get within five feet!  He was foraging as well as preening on the West shore when I was there.  White-rumped sandpipers were the only other birds worth mentioning at the North end.  I
