The following was reported to the E.A. Mearns Bird Club yesterday by Rob Stone.
Wallkill NWR aka Oil City Rd, Pine Island, NY. For the directionally
challenged: Birds are on the opposite side of the street from the platform and
toward the Wallkill River.

The previously reported Smith's Longspur found by Gail Benson and Tom
Burke was relocated late this afternoon (4:30 ish) by Steve Schuyler and myself
(Curt McDermott). The bird made a brief appearance and then disappeared. A
quick call to my father (Ken McDermott) set off a small chain

Camel Farm (On County Rd. 62 at County Rd. 12), New Hampton, Wawayanda, Orange
County, NY.

shared. With numbers like that, there has to be more and better things out

1- first year Iceland Gull
Gull numbers near 4,000.

by at a pretty good clip.
Oddly, we did not see a white winged gull of any species although it is hard to
believe that none were present. There has to be something better among all
those birds. I hope this encourages some to check.
