It's not as bad as you think Jon, all you need to do is first remove
the expansion bead if the seal has one, then take a box knife, slide
the blade under the seal where it meets the glass on the exterior
side, and draw the knife carefully along, if it doesnt cut deep enough

As Nate said, if you saw oil you're fine. The only reason to put
anything in the pump is to help it seal inside and prime. I've always
used regular oil, you can use heavier if you like, I'm not so sure I
would "pack" it with assy lube or vaseline though, it clumps and takes
a bit of time and

Most multiples use at least a 3/8 line from the tank and a high volume, high
pump of some sort. Chevrolet made 9# pump for the 3 carb series, but now you
can both mechanical and electric from Holly.

carb than 4. I was only going to increase the fuel

It is easier to adjust the simgle 4 BBL carby but you'll get WAY better
performance and economy out of single carbys in a row , it's about the
best thing to use two 1 BBL carbys as that's easy to tune , three can
be a real headache .

That's fine as long as you spun the oil pump long enough to see oil
coming out of the weep holes inthe tops of the rockers.
if not , back to work and keep spinning that oil pump untill the fresh

untill the 1967 (?) model year , parts are plentiful and it's a good

If need be to help the oil pump prime? you should be able to loosen the
four flat head screws(I had to use an impact driver) that hold the
bottom cover on the oil pump than you can pack with etc (105 assembly
